Top 5 favorite books to read : August 2022 edition

“I have no time to read” is the lie I had been telling myself for too long. When, let’s be honest, the real reason is that the perspective of reading a book before sleep became a lot less attractive since the invention of Netflix. Why read a book when I can dive into the whole season of Uncoupled? or dream about my next home via Selling Sunset? Well, I have been seriously asking myself this question and here’s my answer. 

Reading a book can literally make my life better! 

Reading is said to reduce stress, help sleep, and increase our brain connectivity which is great for strengthening our brain functions and prevents cognitive decline (thanks, Healthline!). So, even if I am not ready to completely leave the iPad outside the bedroom yet… there are days when I truly appreciate the calm and peacefulness of a no-screen evening and flick through a few pages (or chapters) of my favorite books.
So, what favorite books, you ask?
Here is our selection of our latest favorite books to read or listen to, on repeat.

A recent life changing “hack” of mine, is to listen to audio books while going for my daily walk! Some run to some upbeat tunes, I walk and listen to books. There’s something for everyone 🙂
